Hi there, this is Santiago (or Santi, as friends call me).
I start, build, and invest in startups. I help others in that process as well.
I co-founded Bunny Studio (2012-2023), an API-first platform for creative services, serving 6,000 customers, including Spotify (AdStudio), SiriusXM (AudioGo) and HubSpot (Creators), among others. Before that, I started and ran two ed-tech companies, Talent Surfers (2011 - 2012) and Smart Learning (2009 - 2014) —no longer in business. I was also on the board of Voice123 (2019-2021), acquired by Backstage (2021). In 2022, I co-founded Paramo Partners to do seed investments in Latin America. I am an Endeavor Entrepreneur and a Latitud Fellow.
By mid-2023, after 16 years of building, I took 10 months off to work on myself, explore passions, and find purpose. In 2024, through Paramo Partners, I set up an investment vehicle to do deal-by-deal secondary syndicates focused on the Latin American region (my partners actively lead this effort).

In 2025, I decided to return to operating. I partnered with some friends and started exploring problems. We decided to focus on compliance-heavy workflows, which led us to revenue cycle management problems in healthcare.

Academic Focus
Since mid-2024, I've been an adjunct professor teaching entrepreneurship to Computer Science students at Universidad de Los Andes (Colombia), focusing on how to identify problems, customer discovery, and execution speed.
Some rabbit holes I follow
I'm drawn to economics (my college focus), storytelling in all its forms (from dance and theatre to film and folklore), and exploring new landscapes (I love sunrises and sunsets).
